Annie May Genovese Barrilleaux passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the age of 87. She was the cherished wife of the late Alcide “Buttsie” Charles Barrilleaux Jr. Loving mother of Gary Joseph Barrilleaux (the late Laurie), Glen John Barrilleaux (the late Theresa), Alvin James Barrilleaux (Lee) and the late Alcide Charles Barrilleaux III (Karen). Daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Pizzolatto Genovese. Sister of the late Merle Genovese Kippers. Aunt of Joseph Kippers, Darlene K. Porche and John Kippers. Proud grandmother of Alcide IV, Scott, Jamie, Beau, Luke, Karee, Jennifer, Alvin (AJ)...

Annie May Genovese Barrilleaux passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the age of 87. She was the cherished wife of the late Alcide “Buttsie” Charles Barrilleaux Jr. Loving mother of Gary Joseph Barrilleaux (the late Laurie), Glen John Barrilleaux (the late Theresa), Alvin James Barrilleaux (Lee) and the late Alcide Charles Barrilleaux III (Karen). Daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Pizzolatto Genovese. Sister of the late Merle Genovese Kippers. Aunt of Joseph Kippers, Darlene K. Porche and John Kippers. Proud grandmother of Alcide IV, Scott, Jamie, Beau, Luke, Karee, Jennifer, Alvin (AJ) and Aimee. She is also survived and fondly remembered by her 14 great-grandchildren, along with many cousins and dear friends.



Annie was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish where she loved her Lord and treasured her friends and family. She was well loved and will be deeply missed by her family and by all those whose lives she touched.



The family expresses special thanks and gratitude to Michelle Massey for all the love, care and compassion she provided for Annie. It is deeply appreciated.



Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, September 21st from 10:30AM – 1:00PM, followed by a celebration of her life beginning at 1:00PM. She will be laid to rest with her husband in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
