Loretta Doherty Grana passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the age of 83. She was the cherished wife of the late Isedore Grana Sr. Loving mother of Isedore Grana Jr. (husband of Wendy Grana), Karen Morales (wife of Jorge Morales), Jeffrey Grana and Macy Gaudet (wife of Darryl Gaudet Sr.). Proud grandmother of Jason Grana Sr., Christi Grana Nissen, Jaime Culotta, Laurie Ford, Leland Culotta, Heather Morales Thornton, Kristen Morales, Amanda Morales, Alicia Harris, Ashley Stevens, Darryl Gaudet Jr. and Justin Gaudet. Proud grandmother of Jason Grana Sr., Christi Grana Nissen, Jaime Culotta, Laurie Ford, Leland Culotta, Heather Morales Thornton, Kristen Morales, Amanda Morales, Alicia Harris, Ashley Stevens, Darryl Gaudet Jr. and Justin Gaudet. Great-grandmother of Jason Grana Jr., Joseph Grana, Kyle Dartez, Kaitlyn Dartez, Aubree Ford, Emerson Ford, Bennett Ford, Landon Culotta, Nolan Thornton, Brennan Harris, Alexa Harris, Landen Stevens, Lillie Stevens and Lila Stevens. Sister of Ruth Laprime (wife of Robert Laprime). Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lillian Cullins Doherty Sr. and her siblings, Henry Doherty Sr. and Robert Doherty Jr. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.



Loretta was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish where she enjoyed a long career with Martin Marietta Aerospace. She has resided in Lake Charles, LA since Hurricane Katrina. She was well loved and will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend of many, who treasured her family and friends.



Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, December 1st from 11:00AM – 2:30PM, followed by a Funeral Mass in her memory beginning at 2:30PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
